Audio post-production

Audio post-production refers to a set of stages including direct sound processing, sound editing, foley and, ultimately, mixing – all of which are specialised disciplines in their own right.

Audio post-production: the ultimate and essential stage of your production

It is the continuation of your sound work after location recording on set and picture editing.

It requires perspective, a solid understanding of the project, and a properly equipped room with reliable acoustics – and, above all, a sound engineer who fully masters that environment.
Needs vary depending on the type of production. Pascal Flork’s setup – in particular the monitoring – is flexible and “variable-geometry”: different configurations are used depending on whether the focus is music, audiovisual post-production for HDTV / streaming, or cinema post-production.

Mastery and regular practice of these different disciplines (combined with extensive sound recording experience) make it possible to fully understand what is at stake in audio post-production, depending on the final distribution medium.
Audio post-production is a constant balance between technical constraints (linked to broadcast and delivery) and the artistic vision of the writer(s), director(s) and producers.

The post-production studio is built around an Avid Pro Tools HD system and a wide range of equipment, which you can view via this link.

Ongoing follow-up and/or in-studio residency

pascalflork.eu is not just a website presenting audio skills and services. It is also a communication and exchange platform, based on a fully private cloud space. As soon as you entrust an audio post-production project to Pascal “pako” Flork, a dedicated space is created for your project. This private area is only accessible to you and your sound engineer.
You can upload all the elements required for audio post-production,
You can regularly check the progress of the work, add comments and annotations,
And this is also where Pascal Flork will make the final master files available for delivery.

An in-studio residency can also be arranged for artistic finalisation – full board, half board… in a quiet, countryside environment, allowing you to be fully immersed in the project and bring it to completion.
