The mobile recording setup is a recording studio that comes to you – whether for live performances, music shoots, or any locations that are not usually equipped.
The mobile recording setup: technology, flexibility & professional know-how
Pascal “pako” Flork’s mobile studio setup is built around the Pro Tools HD standard. It includes a range of preamps, vocal and instrument microphones, monitors and accessories.
It is a flexible system that adapts to each brief and set of requirements. No two projects are identical: technical constraints imply specific adjustments, and artistic ambitions often call for new options. Your project will receive dedicated attention in order to best serve your creative vision.
Mobility beyond borders
The mobile rig has already travelled well beyond national borders on several occasions – to Jamaica for the documentary “Made in Jamaica”, to Réunion Island, and more recently to Iceland for a feature film.
It is therefore a fully mobile setup, suitable for travel, freight handling and seasoned export procedures.
Live recording & mobility: a long-standing practice
Recording with a mobile setup has been a long-standing practice for Pascal “pako” Flork. It began in 2002 with the studio work on Zebda’s album Utopie d’Occase, followed by Mc Solaar’s “Cinquième As” tour, live recordings for Manu Chao or Randy Brecker… and many more over the years. Even though live recordings are less in demand than in the 2000s, this line of work continues – for example, in summer 2017 for the needs of the feature film shoot in Iceland (Woman at War).
Equipment in constant evolution
You will find the list of integrated equipment used in the mobile control room by following this link.
However, almost all of the equipment listed for each setup can potentially be integrated into the mobile rig, depending on your project’s needs. Additional rental costs may apply if specific extra gear is required.
